This is a 2 acre lot with distant ocean and mountain views. The building pad is an elongated hilltop, shielded from views from the road below by a row of rock outcroppings. The house is concealed behind the rocks, except for the living and family room areas, located in an existing opening between the outcroppings, which are integrated into the interior spaces. The roof is a series of barrel vault shells, separated by clerestory windows, that mimic the size of the outcroppings and provide a smaller scale to the bedrooms and family room below. The water features include ponds, a waterfall, a large aquarium adjacent to a meditation room, a 60 foot long swimming pool and a spa.
